Running a Purpose Driven Business

A Purpose Conference 2023, Dr Jason Fox mentioned that ‘if you’re a purpose driven business, you can’t not be affected by what’s going on in the world right now and it can’t not impact the way that you do business.’

Things have changed, are changing and are not going back to the way they were.
We’re being challenged to continually evolve as heart-centred humans, conscious business owners and as an inclusive community.

When Sally Hill asked me to present ‘How to Start a Side Hustle’ at Purpose 2023, my first thoughts were ‘why?’

How do I fit into this incredible lineup of people literally changing the world, from First Nations youth empowerment ( @wearewarriors_au) to electric cars (@polestarcars) to carbon trapping bricks (MCi Carbon) —so cool btw.

I guess these businesses had to ‘just start’ somewhere and that’s where we come in. I’ve never categorised StartUp Creative as a ‘purpose led business’ but how can we not be when I started my business to empower myself and others to create businesses that they love and enjoy their life while doing it.

I’m still feeling extremely humbled by the opportunity to be among so many inspiring founders, creatives, change makers and legends who wake up everyday to ask the question: how can we do better for the planet, our communities and ourselves?
